Similarities with Arsenal

Forget the money spent for a second and just look at Arsenals last few seasons and ours, almost title challenges, scrapping for 4th, mostly hinging on the fitness of Fabregas and Van Persie. Sound familiar, it does to me. This year Arsenal will run Chelsea/Man U close possibly splitting them, like we did last season when Torres/Gerrard were fit.

 

Arsenal play lovely football but wont win anything because they can't cope with injuries. Neither can we. Watching them this season is just like watching us last year. Really hit home thinking about our scrap for 4th that we are going to have this season (I think we will do it for the record) and how Arsenal had the same problems a few seasons ago and last year when Fabregas got crocked.

 

Anyway, I think my point is, it's not as grim as it looks, but it aint rosy either, chin up !!!!!

We're potentially 9 points behind them already. f*** me, we've had the worst start ever.

 

But yeah, our squad this year is as thin as theirs last season.

We're 3 points off fourth - any kind of run and we'll easily get into the CL next season. And we have a track record of going on those long runs which no one else outside Arsenal, Chelsea or the Mancs has. Decent comparison IMO.
