For anyone with a PC, this is a game that is based on Unreal Tournament by the people that brought you Red Orchestra.

It's available on Steam at present for a decentd price and has turned out to be an excellent purchase!

The basic premise is that 'specimens' of humanity have been experimented on by the Government in a bio-mechanical way, turning some into Zombies and others into pretty scary looking things. Some somewhat like the crazed murderer in many-a-horror film, some 'sirens' that blast damange, some 'Flesh Pounds' that are huge and angry and a range of other creatures with hammers, chainsaws and other weapons. Of course you also have your common-a-garden Zombie wanderers flobbing around.

The game is unique in that you can't damage your fellow online players - it's a wholley co-operative affair - it's your squad against hordes of specimens - trying to live through each round until you finally confront the Patriach - who looks a bit like Gordon Freeman with many an ability.

If at least one player survives the current round then everyone is brought back for the next round and using money earned in the previous round (or starting money if you died in the last round) to obtain new weapons, armour and ammo. Quite often you have just about enough to replenish your armour.

The Multiplayer co-operative gameplay is better in this game than any others I've played so far - if you have loads of money then you can give this to your mates to help them tool up for the next round (And it's worth doing - the more of you and the better equipped you are means you have more chance of surviving and getting better gear next round). You can also heal yourself on the go and heal your teammates.

Also included are several classes for example the Marksman, The Beserker (With chainsaw), the Commando (With Bullpup), the Support Engineer (With Shotgun) and so on.

Weapons start with your basic knife (Some servers equip you as a basic Class with your basic weapon) and also obtainable are things like a Machete, hunting rifle, Hunting shotgun, chainsaw, Katana and so on.

It's quite refreshing a group of people all with a concerted goal of 'us against the bad guys' and it can actually get a bit scary when you have these eldritch horrors backing you and one or two others in a desperate fight to the death.

If you like online games and you want to try something a little different, then I'd say it's money well spent. Brilliantly executed game (Pardon the pun!) with new maps appearing all the time...

Oh, and unlike any other FPS I've seen so far, it's set in England..
