Song Help

I was watching some program on TV the other day and in the background there was a familiar song that I've heard before playing. Trouble is I've no idea what it is and it's racking my brain! I always assumed the chorus went something like this:

 

'...Streetlight, its the only place I know,

Streetlight, its the only place I go...'

 

Turns out I'm wrong! Nothing shows up on google even remotely resembling it. I'm guessing it was sung by a 60's black female singer.

 

Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?
