We'll be ok, waiting in the wings is the left handed JP Duminy, all the thrills of Gibbs with a bith more mental stability. If Prince stuffs up again, I'd like to see JP play in the last game. But having said that, Prince is an awesome grafter to have around.

i think Prince is a fighter but so is Rudolph but with more class.. His innings against australia incidentally with Prince was one of the best back to the walls job but its a disgrace that hes not even in the squad.. Quota system ruin very good players.. Just look at Mckenzie, his innings today was extremely good but do you think he deserves to have played more games considering he came out with a lot of credit against the aussies and was probably saffers best batsmen.. i agree on duminy though..

Don't get me wrong, I really rated Rudolph but seeing he's unavailable its kind of pointless to go what if.

Mckenzie has been rewarded for sticking around and making good when he got back in, not throwing up his hands and running to Kolpak as soon as he got dropped. When he did got dropped he had a technical fault that he seems to have sorted out now, a player who goes away and fixes his technique (eg Amla) and grabs his chance deserves all the plaudits. Unlike, for example, Martin van Jaarsveld who just isn't good enough.

On the whole, we haven't been that badly shafted by quotas and its sad but true that if it weren't for quotas chances are good someone like Gibbs, Prince, Ntini wouldn't have been around.

If you look at it holistically (ie history of country), it had to happen. what I (and I'm sure Shaka and the rest of sport loving South Africans) would like to see is a less ham fisted approach to quotas across codes. the talent is there but Lord our administrators are shoite.

well they didn't but were all out for 328. I think our best (ie most dominant) performance ever on the subcontinent.

South Africa 494 for 7 dec (de Villiers 217*, Kallis 132) beat India 76 (Steyn 5-23) and 328 (Ganguly 87, Dhoni 52) by an innings and 90 runs
