Reminds me of the time when Gerry Francis had the Bordeaux duo of Bixente Lizarazu and Zidane on trial at Spurs. Lizarazu was deemed to be 'average', and Zidane's styles was said to be 'wooden'. Both were available for a pittance, both were sent back to France.
