North Face or Berghaus ?

I need a waterproof jacket and want something a bit better than a kagool from BHS.

So the question is, why is the Berghaus Cornice jacket £140 and the North Face Resolve Jacket only £62 ?

 

The Berghaus one is dual layer and I don't think the North Face one is, but do I really need dual layer ? Will I notice it ?
