Tomlinson recovers after bypass

Actor Ricky Tomlinson is recovering in hospital after a quadruple heart bypass operation, a spokesperson for Liverpool’s Cardiothoracic Centre has said.

The 68-year-old’s family have thanked well-wishers for get well cards and messages he received.

They have requested privacy for the 48 hours so they can concentrate on being with him.
