coming to Liverpool for a game - could use some help

I am coming over for a football trip with my dad and brother this season. We settled on the sunderland game at Anfield on february 2. - does anyone know how soon it is possible to get tickets? We'd like to book the flight as early as possible, but we're not too keen on booking without confirmation of having tickets for the game. Also, any particular stand youd recommend three OOC'ers to try and get them for (bearing in mind I will be the only one thoroughly enthusiastic - my dad and brother will be doing thewir best to hide their manc leanings ) at a fair price?

 

Can anyone recommend a good and cheap place to stay in Liverpool as well?
