Skiing

Thinking of going skiiing next Jan, not sure where to though. Couple of mates want to do the cheapest thing possible and so are suggesting Bulgaria and Romania, whereas I've heard some dodgy things about the various resorts there (food poor, weird currency rules) and so have been thinking about Andorra. Any advice out there? Does anyone know a good place to check snow forecasts at resorts as well?
