A work colleague in the UK who I barely know but have bumped into at Anfield a few times just called me and said that he heard I lost out in the ballot and that he was successfull in the ballot but can't go. He told me that he'll pick up the ticket at the TO and send it over on one of the flights to me and I can sort him out with the face value next time he's in my neck of the woods. He said he doesn't want it going to "some touting c***". What a great guy!
