Apparently the attendance there was 35,672. Yeah right, must be almost 20,000 on the Kop alone. Were LFC using Ken Dodd's accountant at this time.

more than likey correct in those days, i was there as i made my ex wife (this was the start of the end for doing this) drive back from a family wedding in Bournemouth through the night so i could go

The derby only pulled in 38,127 that season so that figure is hardly that surprising

Point is, and I was also at the game in question, not a spot to be had so either 10,000 bunked in or they weren't recording the attendance properly, allegedly this happened quite frequently where cash turnstiles were in operation e.g. on the Kop.
