alternatives to having a fire place

Anyone have anything different instead of a fire place?

 

Were getting our fire taken out as it looks s****, I was thinking of getting one of them flat plasma style fires but am unsure I rarely put the fire on now and if our lass is cold I tell her to put her coat on

 

What else could you put there?

 

I dont want to put a telly there on the wall.
