Went to Koko in Camden to see The Spinto Band

A gig with 3 support acts for some reason - having seen the band likely to be on before the Spintos and thinking them schite, we stayed in the pub for long enough to avoid them all. Nice little boozer.

Unfortunately, we timed it so badly that we caught the vast majority of support act Air Traffic's set. We'd seen them support Field Music at Water Rats so they have good taste in lead bands, but they were equally poor despite adding an extra member. Think Ben Folds Five meets Keane. But without the tunes. Then stop giving them the benefit of the doubt.

The Spinto Band were alright - however, although I was reasonably familiar with the last album, and had played it the same day, I hardly recognised any of the songs, although they apparently played loads off the album. Not quite sure why that was - still they were pretty entertaining, with a definite Monkees vibe in there somewhere.

Next up, Amsterdam at the Philharmonic tomorrow night - then 3 gigs in 4 days post-Barca
