Weird Sky adverts last night

Watching 24 on Sky One last night through VirginMedia or whatever it is now. An advert came on saying that someone didn't value Sky One, Sky Sports News and Sky News and we should ring and complain to keep these channels on air through VirginMedia. I wasn't really concentrating so I assumed it was VirginMedia asking its customers to urge Sky not to take these channels off us, but on repeated viewing of the advert, it seems that it's Sky asking cable people to urge VirginMedia not to take off those channels. Anyone else heard about this? Why would the cable companies be getting rid of Sky channels, its the easiest way to lose business isn't it?!
