If we beat the Mancs and then get through against Barca it will be one hell of a week!

Pessimistic t***

Isn't there a danger the Manc game will be moved for TV?

It'll probably be another s***ty midday KO on Saturday. Sky won't move it as we're playing on the Tuesday.

I'd be very surprised if Barca's game isn't moved from the Sunday to Saturday.

Isn't that exactly what happened in 2001?

Sorry, just realised I was wrong. The first leg was after we beat Manchester United, the second was after we beat Everton.

Great season.

If it is moved, it will be to a midday ko on the Saturday, which will be benefitial with regards to the Barca game

expect most of those games to change. The spanish FA help their teams in europe, while the english fa make things more difficult. so expect the barca games to more to give them more time, whilst expect our manc game to move for tv, but make it more difficult for us.

Could you expand on that? The only thing were the Spansih FA help Spanish teams is if they have qualified for an European Cup final allowing them to play their League fixture one or two days earlier. The rest of the games they play them when they are suppose to play them. Barcelona will play the league games on Saturday before playing Liverpool, and on Sunday or Saturday after playing Liverpool depending on which channel they are shown. And surely they will play Valencia and Sevilla in those fixtures.

yes, but the valencia and seville game are likely to move to saturday to give them extra time. I'm saying don't expect the english FA to do us any favours. they didn't help us during the treble run, or the european cup run either.

Don't English teams play on Saturday when there is a European fixture in midweek? I can't remember a game where Liverpool have played on Sunday prior to an European fixture since Benitez is your manager.

If the European tie is on a Tuesday, then we wont play on the Sunday, but if the tie is on the Wednesday then we could play on the Sat or Sun. The FA, The Football League or The Premiership can do nothing about the fixtures, it's all down to Sky.

I've just been told that in Spain is more or less the same. If the European game is on Tuesday then you play on Saturday. If the game is on Wednesday and scheduled on TV for Sunday, then it is played on Sunday.
