Cartoons Protester Found Guilty

 

This Mizanur Rahman has been convicted of stirring up racial hatred, but the jury was unable to reach a verdict on a separate charge of inciting murder.

 

Can anyone make sense of that? What, in the linked BBC report constitutes 'racial hatred'? Is there somethig he did/said which the BBC have omitted?

 

And the case for convicting him of inciting murder would seem (?) to be pretty clear.
