Belief with / without the bible, koran etc - your religion

More often than not, debate around here seems to lead to religion and draws upon the bible or Koran as proof positive or otherwise as to God or whatever's existence; the way of thinking etc for that religion.

I, myself, have a belief system and often feel tempted to get engaged in these debates, however, it always seems to be very black and white in terms of your beliefs vs the text.

It always strikes me as odd that people draw upon, and choose to criticise on both side of the argument, a text written thousands of years ago relevant to a culture that existed thousands of years ago. FFS we only had any sense of equality in our own western society just this past century.

Anfield and I think Andy, the forumites, were laughed at for mentioning that the old and new testament are different in many ways. One being of the creation of man and the other being about the son of God.

So what are your beliefs. How many of you don't believe in anything?

I appreciate that organised religion is false and has many flaws, but what is you personal religion / spirituality?
