New club shop opening

I walked past the shop in Foregate St in Chester yesterday. Had loads of LFC posters on the windows and work was going on inside. It made me laugh because its in the same shop unit that Everton had to vacate because they were losing money.

Last time i was in Chester i seen loads of Manc fans. More people seemed to be wearing a Manc top than any other team. I thought it would be mostly Liverpool fans in Chester.

There are a few knocking around, you even see the odd Chelsea or Arsenal top, but the vast majority of fans in the area are Liverpool.

Can't understand why Chester as it's not that far from Liverpool.

Yeah I work in Chester, and the majority of people in the office seem to be Liverpool, Everton or Manc fans, which you would expect really as people working here tend to come from North Wales, Liverpool or the Wirral.

 

The couple of people who are actually from Chester seem to be Manc fans though, but that may be just the people I work with and not representative of Chester as a whole!

Within walking distance of the Oakie and the Albert...

I assuume this shop will have full stock of all kits...that must be why there is a shortgae, they were holding them back for a new shop.

My point is Chester is only 30-45 minutes away from Liverpool, so if you really wanted to buy something from the shop it's not that hard to get to even on public transport.

 

I would have thought somewhere around the midlands would have been more prudent or at least 100 miles from Liverpool.

Big tourist area for the North West though - plenty of opportunity to attract more OOT's.
