are not my scene and I never as a rule pay any heed to all the whinging that goes on about the games following Internationals and European action.

BUT

Just had a look at yesterdays results page plus fixtures for the forthcoming week.

Firstly for all the teams engaged in European competition next week. I'm sure most would have had players involved in the internationals last week but I'd guess none had more than us and most had far fewer.

Anyroad here's how it pans out

Chelsea, Man U and West Ham - both league games at home plus fortuitously their Euro game also at home

Arsenal, Newcastle, Spurs, Blackburn - 1 league game home, 1 league game away plus unfortunately the Euro game also away

LFC - both league games away plus Euro game also... you get the drift.

Meanwhile, of those teams not in European action

Bolton, Everton, Sheff Utd - both league games at home

Reading, Portsmouth, Watford, Charlton - 1 game home, 1 away

Man City, Fulham, Boro, Wigan, Villa - both games away

Now, I'd guess very few of those last 5 teams had huge swathes of their playing squads involved in the Internationals.

CONCLUSION

Very likely nobody has got a downer on us at Premier League HQ.

Very likely nobody has a soft spot for Man U, Chelsea, West Ham etc [hmmph]

However, f*** me if did we not get the s***ty end of the stick this past few weeks.

OVERALL RECOMMENDATION

Feel sorry for Rafa and the s**** deal he's just been dealt. When you add 20 shots off target or whatever, 3 dreadful defensive lapses, three nailed on penalties denied, plus first two goals allowed despite clear foul play in the build ups, I'd say Rafa should be kept away from sharp implements for a few days at least.

let's lose all those games and then write a letter to the league and i'm sure they'll refund us the points and fans everywhere will see the justice in that as we had to play teams in the league that no one else had to.

you miss my point .we all know we have to play them all but if you can avoid the best teams 2 months in new players settled ,first eleven worked out it helps big style

No you miss my point. It's what we were given. Deal with it. That's why they are all paid so much money because they are potentially the best squad and manager in the country, being such you should be able to overcome things instead of alway finding a hand excuse like some midtable o'leary team.

In all honesty i'm still more pissed off with the sheff u game than yesterday. We haven't started well at all but it'll come

So we get the chance to put a marker down and beat all the best teams first before playing easier teams. That's how you approach it. Feeling sorry for ourselves will literally just mean we are out of the running.

some conspiracy to involve both Uefa and the FA.

I hate early kick offs but perhaps that's a result of the growing nastiness (I know it's always gone on though) in feelings of the rival fans, and I too have an inkling that the PL fixture list isn't as random as you'd like to think - particularly when sky want to maximise audience, make sure the fixture pantomime can be branded and ensure that there's always a story to tell right up until the last day of the season - next week is a*** vs mancs, us vs chelsea both on the sunday - i'd love some mathematician to figure the odds on that
