Films about The Troubles

Interesting piece in the Guardian today about films about N Ireland, and how none of them quite manage to get stories of the Troubles quite right.

 

Great quote from Richard O'Rawe about the line "have you ever tried picking your up your teeth with broken fingers from The Crying Game: "No Belfast man would come up with a line like that without having to spend the whole night thinking it up"

 

Apparently Brad Pitt tried to do a good job for The Devil's Own, reasearching the accent n all, only to be let down by the scriptwriters
