Old kids cartoon

This is gonna sound a very vague description, but it's doin my head in trying to remember what it was called.

 

It was a cartoon. Each week it was a different story but i can only remember the opening titles with any clarity.

 

It started with a guy sittin on a wall outside. He was dressed sort of like Robin Hood. He was holding and playing a lute.

 

He stands up and begins to walk and sing the theme song. As he walks his form changes into different animals. One of them was a fox, i think.

 

The only line from the sing i can remember was "In Sweden I am Johan.."

 

Think the word "Tales" may have been somewhere in the title..

 

Er, anyone???
