First choice front pairing

With Kuyts impending arrival we will have 4 strikers; Fowler, Bellamy, Crouch and Kuyt.

Fowler although his injuries have taken there toll he is still a very useful player to have in the team, due to his vision and finishing ability. He can conjour up a goal out of nothing, likewise creating a goal for another.

Bellamy very good signing for 6m. Has them pace and the control to cause damage to most defences, especially those playing an higher line at the back, he can exploit the space and make it count which is something we lacked last season (Cisse wasn't good enough IMO).

Crouch. Great touch for a big man  , has the ability to win most high balls and provide for others. Hopefully with his Goals for England he now has the confidence and self-belief to really bang the goals in.

Kuyt. I have not seen much of him but from what I have seen he is a powerful forward, dogged if you like, who will hunt lost causes and is pretty handy in the air.

Its interesting to see though who Rafa picks as his first choice partnership. Bellamy is a certainty and If we do pay £10m for Kuyt its highly unlikely that Rafa would not make him first choice.

All in all, we have a lot better options than we did last year :)

Don't think we have one, though on paper you'd have to say Bellamy and Kuyt (if he comes)

Rafa rotates depending on fitness and the opposition.

I'm no expert when it comes to Liverpool formations and especially under Rafa we tend to be a little unpredictable at times. But my opinion is that he has Bought Kuyt (hopefully) for the possibilities he gives. He can play as a direct forward up front where he will attack all balls and chase balls as the previous poster said. But I have seen Kuyt play wide right aswell. And thats definitely an option. I have a feeling we will see a Kuyt/Bellamy partnership more so than not.

I would go with Kuyt/Bellamy. If Bellamy tires or is not a goal threat, then I'd bring Robbie on around 70mins, as he will sniff out plenty of goals that way. If Kuyt finds it hard to adjust to the Prem then Crouch will be in while the Dutchman finds his feet.

Dont know the first choice but it depends who we're playing..... for example Bolton, hustle and bustle side lke to play physical..... Kuyt and Crouch...... Against good footballing sides...... Bellamy or Fowler with Couch.... against lower table sides ...... Fowler and Kuyt. But you cant really say it depends on form, fitness and availability and now with Rafa formation!!

Its difficult to guess or say which two will be our first choise because two might strike up a good partnership, however with our rotation system I think it might be difficult for this to happen, not a moan but it may be difficult to see continuity between our front pairing when they are switched and swapped every other game. I'd prefer to have options (or possibilities) than go with people who are untried in positions though.

Think Fowler's going to surprise many a nay-sayer this season. 15 goals is realistic

Would be fantastic if he did. Hopefully if he can stay injury-free, fit and plays a few full games we will see him nearer the 20 mark!

I still get the feeling Bellamy might be our 'primary' striker, as in the one who is first choice in the 'big' games.

we only got good in the league last season when we started playing two up top.

Beni has conceeded that pace is needed now although maybe he alway did but just didn't rate cisse and baros.

Rafa said that bellamy and garcia would be especially useful away from home and last season at home rafa went with the slow two a lot so maybe it'll be kuyt and fowler at home.

That's a lot of words to say not that much
