I hadn't heard anything about it nor have I seen it here so sorry if It's a romario but Steve Hunter(or whatever he's called) said on E-season earlier that he had a minor injury, nothing serious but Rafa just didn't wanna risk him..

At least It's nice to know he's still in the picture and hasn't got a serious injury - and again sorry if Romario.

I was wondering where he was myself, I done a search on Liverpool.tv and couldn't find any news anywhere. It wouldnt hurt for the official site to give us a update on these things.

Nah they'll just let it drift until it snowballs into an issue, and a round of chinese whispers. Seen it before with Kewell

Well, it's certainly starting to snowball now. We had five injuries before the Kaiserslautern game and now we have two more - Garcia and Aurelio - both taken off during the second half. Aurelio's looks more serious. Still, he only averaged twenty games a season in Spain.....

Finally an interview with the lad

There is nothing to do about the fact of me being injured. I could jog but not sprint. But I'm ready again and today (monday) has been the first day I've trained fully.

I attend training because I want to start. It will be diffcult but I'll try. Because that is my target.

Probably too late to edge into the squad for the CL game or CS, but hopefully he'll replace Djimi as our CB on the bench for our first Prem games, along with Fowler, Carson, an LM and either Garcia or Kromkamp.

I hope we put him on the bench for the CL. He could do with some time on the pitch and if we can get a couple of goals it would seem a good time. However I guess if he is as unfit as the interview would suggest it may well be too soon as you say.

I think Paletta has earned a bench spot for the next two (big bench for the CS anyway), by Agger is still ahead in terms of big game experience and because he is likely to replace Sami, who is closer to having his number called than Carra, who'll need to be brought out of the side by wild horses.
