A statement similar to the one he made about Gerrard would be nice now... puts pressure on Owen, Madrid and Newcastle. But for some strange reason, have this funny feeling that it mightn't have been us that made the bid, although common sense says it has to be us

Everton?

If MO thinks he needs "regular first team football" to get an England place after Sven told him that with their private little talk, then Sven and MO are off their brains When's Sven become his career advisor? And when has he got his career interest in mind? And more importantly, when has he been right about anything? If MO comes here on January and we (As expected) gives him lots of games, then Sven would pick him anyway. Hell, he can get injured now and be fit before the World Cup and Sven would still pick him To go to a no-mark club with crappy fans, clownish chairman, foolish manager and s****house team just because you need first team football is a bit desperate and stupid. And hopefully MO sees that and doesn't go to those f***s P.S.: Never thought you'd lose the match, seems to be the trend this series: Aus saves their best 'til the match is gone.

I'm bloody fuming over the Ashes already, don't need MO to pile on the agony by signing for... wait for it... New f***ing Castle

If MO signs for Newcastle, it would cap off a pretty s*** week...

After the way Newcastle played today, if Mickey still thinks he wants to go there just so that he can gurrantee a World Cup place, he is off his balls They are woeful, Souness will get the sack soon, they'd be fighting relegation. Yet he wants to go to them? If he does, then let him

What do you think they would've done wrong? Not saying you're wrong in saying they didn't f*** up, but just wondering how you think they would've screwed this one up If we get the full cooperation of Owen and he rejects Newcastle right here and now, it would've been easier for us If Owen's gonna use Newcastle as a serious option, knowing they have a massive bid and offer him more wages, then the club can do nothing about it.

That's 200 times more than I know What's your gut feeling like, you reckon we'd still sign him?

If Mickey's desperate to come over to us, he would still have hold out and tried to make it possible for us to arrange a deal with him. That's just my personal view, I don't know the full situation like you do, so I probably shouldn't comment on the situation in the first place

Sorry, but if he really, really wants to come here he would've rejected Newcastle by now and make it easier for us

I have nothing against Mickey, I'm a fan in fact, but if he really wants to come back that desperately, then he would've told Newcastle where to go by now

What course is he taking now with this Owen saga? Fashion design?

Now I've had no axe to grind with Ricky Parry apart from his funny choice of clothing, but if Owen goes to Newcastle because he's "not urgent enough" in getting MO back, then this would be one serious f*** up Hope the talk tomorrow with MO can resolve this, I obviously don't know what they'll talk about, but Kev, my man, just your personal opinion: Do you think he'll still come?

Then it must be with us or Madrid? Must be us not being able to afford anywhere near an offer that Real would accept? Newcastle's involvement is really pissing me off, bunch of c***s, though I would've liked MO to tell them to piss off if he really wants to come home, because that would've made it a lot easier for us to deal with Real

His agents would definitely get a bigger portion of the money if Owen signs for Newcastle, it's a stab at the dark and pure speculation, but wouldn't be surprised if his advisors favour a move to Newcastle far more than a move to Liverpool And unfortunately, don't think Michael's as desperate to come "home" as we've been led to believe for these few weeks

If things change to Newcastle's favour that quickly, by the law of averages it might chnage back to our favour, too... Talk about eternal optimism

Tell ya what, that wet dream's comin' my way Cannot possibly be happier, well actually I can: When the lad officially comes home

So, Rick Parry was asked about Owen, he goes "Rafa and I have the same opinion", "wait and see" So the press got little, so they go to Gerrard, Gerrard said, "Only Rafa knows if he's interested" So they go ask Rafa, and Rafa said, "I don't wanna talk about players now" Merry-go-around We're playing those fools around and all three of them are silently laughing at the fools

That's the same as saying we both want him...

My word! Ricky wearing a "non-funky" tie and shirt?! That's it, that has convinced me, he's coming home

That same smirk he gave to people when Gerrard did that U turn and stayed?

And they can afford both? Somehow very much doubt that, they found it hard to afford Anelka...

Heard that from a Geordie today, seems like this confirms their bid for Owen was a mock one "Hey, Depor, we failed to land Owen, so we're agreeing to pay your asking price for Luque... What? We have to pay more now? Darn..."

Sure, they can do that, wouldn't hurt them much, just Owen's big, big weekly wages hammering on them, while risking his value to drop come this time next season due to lack of playing time. Real might be able to afford doing that, but is it wise doing it when on the other hand they have Owen wanting to leave for a club that's offering them 10-12 million for him? If they're that stupid, then let Owen sit on their bench for a year then

Souey, oh Souey
