  1. Yeah, cheers mate, appreciate that. Today was good, especially Peter Hooton talking about the 'Don't Buy The Sun'/'James McVey' concert, some good discussion on Meireles, Bellamy and Wenger/Arsenal ownership an all.
  2. It's 3x360° mics with 6-8 of us in a semi circle, tested a few different setups, including individual mics, but the feel and sound we preferred was the fellas sitting round a table talking s**** over each other in a pub kind of gig.
  3. "They came for Joe Cole and I did not speak"
  4. Interesting that considering not 9 months ago Basco was saying "Give them a chance" and now this Then again, Rafa's gone now so he's obviously looking for a new crusade to embark on
  5. Actually smarta***, we had the story up before the Sunday Times did
  6. It's not about Rafa going, it's about who made the decision and the reasons why
  7. You are so absolutely wrong on that score it's really quite funny
  8. If this needs to be moved then thats fine, but this needs to be passed around This is an email from as close to the most reputable source as you can get, the subject of the email is the head of Florence Police, and I've been asked to pass this on, anyway, read on......... - TICKETS: (I think this is really important). He has worked out a compromise deal which allows him to observe the law while also making things easier for Liverpool supporters. Liverpool will be getting 2200 tickets which will be distributed among Liverpool supporters. Liverpool fans who receive these tickets will be free to pass them on to friends or relatives. HOWEVER, if you pass your ticket on to somebody else, you have to notify the club at least 48 hours BEFORE the game and tell them the name of the person who has your ticket and who will be going in your place. Liverpool will then send the Florence police a list of the people who are actually going (rather than simply the list of those who bought tickets). This is absolutely crucial because, if your name is not on the list, even if you have a ticket, he insists you will NOT be allowed into the ground. Fiorentina have an electronic scanning system at the turnstile and the tickets they send Liverpool will be DEACTIVATED. Tickets will be ACTIVATED 48 hours before the game but only once Liverpool have sent Fiorentina the list of names (and corresponding ticket numbers) of fans who will actually be traveling. When you arrive at the ground, you'll need to present some kind of photo ID and your name will be checked off against the list Fiorentina will have received from Liverpool. (JOHN: I hope this is clear... if it isn't let me know) -STADIUM SEGREGATION: As Everton supporters who made the trip will tell you, there was some pretty hefty segregation for visiiting fans at the ground, which obstructed views of the pitch. He is going to have most of it removed for Liverpool's visit. it's rather a big deal, because it's the first time it's being done for visiting supporters from abroad. - ALCOHOL BAN: Based also on the feedback from various Liverpool websites and supporters, he has decided NOT to have a complete alcohol ban in Florence. Shops and supermarkets WILL be barred from selling any kind of alcohol. However, restaurants will be allowed to serve alcohol. Bars which DO NOT serve any kind of food will NOT be allowed to serve alcohol, however, bear in mind that there are very few such places in Florence. Almost all bars serve at least some kind of sandwiches or snacks and are classed as restaurants and therefore WILL be serving alcohol. The one rule is that if you purchase a drink in a restaurant, you HAVE TO DRINK IT THERE. You WILL NOT BE allowed to walk the streets with an alcoholic drink in your hand. - His main concern is large groups of drunk supporters assembling particularly with glass bottles. He hopes that this way, the risk will be avoided. He is pretty confident that everything will go smoothly but he has asked Liverpool supporters - wherever possible - to help self-police, because if anybody breaks the law or causes trouble, they will be prosecuted. He is not going to look the other way. - On a personal note, one massive no-no in Florence is public urination. There should be plenty of toilet facilities available at the ground and, in the city centre as well (restaurants have been instructed to allow fans to use the toilets). But Florentines are very proud of their city and any kind of vandalism or public urination will be deal with very severely.
  9. For one day, I would ask everyone to put differences and opinions about the Union aside If you want change at Liverpool Football Club, please, get down to the supporters club and be counted. Some times somethings are bigger than petty differences of opinion This is one of those times
  10. Fair enough, nice one, I'll pass that on. Paul, I've no problem asking questions about SOS if I have the answer at hand, and if I don't have an answer, I'll do my best to get one, I've even offered to meet people from here face to face to discuss any problems. What does annoy is people moaning about transparency and whatnot, when their own agenda is about as see through as a wet t-shirt on a porn star.
  11. First off, I wouldn't know the answer to your question, as I've mentioned before, I don't deal with any finance/constitutional issues. And it was just a question, I'm just an interested party who wants further details Thats all
  12. Thanks for pointing that out, just had a quick scan and it's mentioned here, although whether this suffices I wouldn't know as it's not my field, so I'll pass it on It's mentioned here http://www.spiritofshankly.com/why-join.html
  13. Are you a member?
  14. See, if you look again, I did actually provide an answer to the best of my knowledge about when and where the accounts would be provided. Maybe the flippancy is the result of having having seen numerous people provide answers to questions asked, only for the same question to be asked over and over just phrased differently. And then of course their are the people who have a problem with the Union and nothing they do would change their mindset. This is of course my personal opinion, and not necessarily the viewpoint of the Union.
  15. The accounts, I think, will be published at the AGM and made available to members once the figures have been fiddled accordingly to hide the mass piss up we've been on for the past 9 months.
  16. Not good enough I want it now No, yesterday Where was the live feed FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!
  17. I have a drinking problem
  18. Oh you big capatalist you Or was the mentalist, I always get them mixed up
  19. Point being that this, nor any other website can provide an accurate sample of all Liverpool supporters, and by the looks of it, nor even an indicatve one, given the difference of the two results.
  20. Same survey, different website Good organisation - they have issues - but are addressing them 58.14% OK Organisation - They need to sort out what they actually want 18.60% I'm not sure - not clear on what they want or how they want to achieve it 20.93% Awful - no direction. No ideas. No point. 2.33%
  21. The song isn't ironic in the slightest either
  22. He wants the truth?
  23. Why is it so important? You've already been told more than once it's not subsidised, so what's the problem?
  24. We have, and there were rumblings and something was going to break, but nothing concrete until towards the middle/end of last week. I know is true because I was privvy to little snippets of info we were getting. I would imagine that what will also be on the agenda is any action that may be taken at the next home game.
