  7. And you can make a difference We've been nominated alongside The Sound of Football, The Football Ramble, Football Weekly, Red, White and Blue for best Podcast, which will be decided by a panel and we're against some quality opposition. http://picklive.com/blog/nopas-shortlists?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed:+Football3sBlog+(Not+100%25+Accurate) BUT As a nominee, we're also in the hat for 'The Peoples Choice' award William Shankly "You Are The People" And we'd really appreciate 'our' peoples vote, you can cast yours at the link below http://not100percentawards.com/ Nice one
  8. Also, Liverpool's physio looked strikingly familiar, only realised after the game it was Richie Partridge
  9. .
  10. BTW, regardless of the overhead kick, that Alberto Coelho is some forward. Anyway, to draw a comparison between the English and Foreign academies, Denis Suarez, a 17 year old who City signed from Celta Vigo, is on more money than the entire Barca NextGen squad combined.
  11. Not at all, just maybe not as grounded. Another thing that has stuck out is how regimented we, Man City and Aston Villa are, Sporting and Barca's coaching staff are very laissez faire with their lads, Marseille somewhere in between and seem to play with a lot less pressure and a lot more freedom as a result. Of course I could be looking a it wrong and they could just be streets ahead and the approach/management counts for f*** all.
  12. Just got back from covering the game for NextGen, thing that stuck out more than the gulf in class was the difference in attitude, the Sporting lads couldn't be a nicer, more polite, humble group of lads. What I've learned so far, in the games covered, is that the Barca and Sporting squad earn next to f*** all until they've made it in the first team, as opposed to semi-decent English lads who earn a fortune, whats also interesting is that both Barca and Sporting youth teams live together and are schooled together on or near their respective academies.
  13. Be surprised if A) It's as advanced as people as saying, considering some of the meetings the club have been trying to set up with potential partners as late as a fortnight ago Which leads to B) Standard Chartered are announced as "naming rights partner", as they've consistently refused to do business on the clubs terms, despite talking to them about naming individual stands in the current stadium, which Ayre has now distanced himself from The massive sticking point with the naming rights hasn't so much been the figure the club have been asking (circa £100m for 10 years), but more that they wanted £50m of it front loaded before building started as seed money to save on interest costs. No business, quite correctly IMO, has been willing stick pay £50m up front for something they won't even see for 3 years, especially in the current climate.

  15. Cheers mate
  16. Did I say that? Really?
  17. Not wanting to get into an argument, but I think you've missed the point. It was, in broad terms, aimed at the blurts who have taken the "If this had been Hodgson, there would be murder". Again, it's about respect Funnily enough, Tony Barrett has written something more or less identical to what we conveyed on the podcast on his LFC.TV blog. http://thekop.liverpoolfc.tv/_Turning-To-The-Boos-Can39t-Ever-Be-The-Answer/blog/5442117/173471.html

  20. He'll be the man who follows the man, won't be the immediate replacement for Kenny. And I doubt FSG will be still be in charge when that time comes.
  21. Funnily enough, I said that to the lads post podcast, him and a few mates put money in, 5 year project, see where he could get them.

  24. Yup
  25. Just briefly on Rafa, what an absolute gent he to deal with, he didn't have to turn up or accept the invite, he did, he could have demanded on vetting the questions, he didn't, he could have straight batted and been cold, he was the complete opposite. Fellas a f***ing legend
