Yes, its not down to rotation its down to lacking players. We all got carried away after the first few games beliving we had the best squad in the prem. We havent. We still have no left midfielder after god knows how long without a decent one, and we do not have cover at centre back. If we did, i would think we would be playing a hell of a lot better now. Before aggers injury the midfield seemed to be free to go forward, press and hunt down the opposition, free to counter attack with pace and really split teams open. Now , i see a team that is playing to deep, seems to be worried and having to cover for positions and not attacking with as much freedom. Thats not rotation that causes that, just like it wasnt zonal marking at fault for our poor away perfoamces over the first 2 years of rafas reign.

Firstly, when is this constant changing of wide players? Pennant if im not mistaken has been on the right for 8 games out of 9 this season, and as for the left side we do not have a solid left winger, which would surley make your moan about changin the left midfielder and not both?. Secondly, the 160 games without the same side is a lie, did you know that rafa also won an oscar for best sound effects in the 1987 oscars?(well if you can make up things so can i). Thirdly, if you say we are no closer to winnnig the title, i have to disagree, we are missing key players yet are still only 1 point behind the mancs if we win our game in hand. And they will be the team to beat again, so for me that is closer, or where we ahead of them at this point last season?. Personally my opinion is that rotation is a red herring that the media have jumped at the moment simlar to the old zonal marking one. the mancs, chelsea and arsneal rotate just as much as rafa, the statistics prove it. The problem we have is not having good enough players in certain positions meaning if we have 1 or 2 injuries we are screwed. Personally i think rafa put all of his eggs into one basket with the heize deal, and our poor form is due to the shape of the team changing, dropping too deap and players having to cover all down to hyppias presence in the team(i love hyypia, but hes useless now). That together with the fact that we still dont have a good left sided player , alonsos injury and gerrards alarminglack of form since the england game are the problems. Not rotation.

He seemed to be trying to convice liverpool fans on terrace talk that rafa has lost the plot. Kept going on about taking gerrard off as bieng a discgracefull descision and wouldnt stop harping on about it. Then proceeded to claim that it was "ironic" that lucas was involved in the goal after rafa made the terrible descision to bring him on for gerrard. What is the mans problem? Gerrard wasnt having a great game, he was being slaughterd all game by all sections of the crowed bar ours (i was in the f***ing main stand, all game all you had was vile s*** aimed at him). Lucas came on, played well made some good passes and ulimatly won us the penalty (with a bit of help from pennant, kuyt, etc). What was worse was you had liverpool fans calling up and agreeing that benitez is a disgrace for taking gerrard off, is he suddenly immuine from all critasism and not allowed to be rested or miss games? The guy looks fatigued to f*** at the moment. Madness.....

Mascherano was awsome 2nd half , our best player. There was an incident when the c*** halsey wanted him to kick the ball out of play because a spurs player went down. Mascherano was having none of it and looked to be banging on about wanting a drop ball he could challenge for. He was instructing all the players at set peices and gave torres a right earfull when he came back for a corner telling him to stay up the pitch. Basicly , 2nd half he shown all the qualities that gerrard, despite being imo the best player in the world, is 99 percent of the time lacking as a captain.
