No, ive just heard that its nailed on to be a world record. Id assume it could be one of makhtoums companies or probably more likley one of his buisiness partners or contacts. May know a bit more latley, but as i said from the conversation and what this guy says, we couldnt have hoped for a better deal in the long run, not just short term ala chelsea. Another thing he mentioned, which i suppose isnt rocket sience is that we wont be getting much to spend untill the summer, janurary is too soon. Oh, and that reinas new deal is 68k a week after tax and that Gerrard in a single week can take home 200k with bonuses if we have 2 or 3 games that week!

Im basing it on a conversation yesterday. from what im told they will be putting the right people in place who will run the club(buisiness) the correct way. I was also told to expect a world record sponsorship deal to be announced at the end of the season, aswell as the fact that kenny has been sounded out allready about a directors role(the guy told me its a simlar role to bobby charltons at man u, more of a figurehead type thing). And that the wage bill at the moment is astronomical due to the way we have aparently been handing out bonuses willy nilly. A few other bits that i cant really post aswell. And before anyone asks, its the same fella who told me about zendens injury when you all thought i was taking the piss.

For me, we couldnt have hoped for a deal better than this one, its perfect all around for the future of the club. For me, the most important factor is that the consortium is made up from some of the best buisiness men in their fields in the world. The cream of the crop in each area. And such is the nature that they will have contacts who are the cream of the crop in various other areas. Our commercial area, stadium, sponsorship, media etc all will recieve much needed overhauls and i see our future template more as a man utd in the 90s rather than a chelsea.

The thing is, who has a better transfer market record than rafa? I think you will find no one.

I had to laugh when the guy phone radio city up who handt seen the match or listened to it claiming gerrard bails liverpool out every game. Sounds like alot of people on here. Dont get me wrong, imo hes the best player in the world, but his form this season has been shocking. And if stevie was to think hes back to his best hed be selling himself way short imo.

Are you on the wind up mate? Yes , gerrard carragher and reiner all look better but nowhere near there best. Gerrard is imo roughly at about half of his game.

I was here at the time. Ged wasnt god. He was on his way to becoming a legend, but falterd. The euopean cup means more to me than any other cup including the league. Its importance over any 3 of the tropheys we won during the treable season is immense. And look at the managers thenselves. Gerrard houllier hadnt exactly had a winning pedigree before he arrived, rafa has. Rafa has won 2 spanish leagues for christ sakes. No one player is bigger than the club, but in terms of the manager, rafa is the best thing to happen to us in 20 years.
