Worse than Istvan Kozma, Julian Dicks, Paul Stewart, Jimmy Carter, Phil Babb, Barry Venison, Torben Piechnik, Stan Collymore etc?

We've been overpaying and recruiting average players for the last 30 years. It's why it all started to go downhill at the start of the nineties.

I agree. The game could have reached an exciting and critical stage at 77 minutes and people will not walk out. Any protest needs to be achievable and noticable. Longer term protests that hit the pocket of the owners might also be a good idea. How about one or any of the following? 1) A 5 minute silence from the time the players walk out until kick off - including through YNWA. 2) Protest banners only on the Kop 3) More protest chants 4) Boycott of all club merchandise, eateries, programmes 5) Don't sign up to the auto cup scheme. Attendance credits will be a thing of the past once the level of corporates goes up. That gives us the freedom to boycott those hard-to-sell games e.g. early rounds of the League Cup (4) can be extended via social media to beyond the match attendees We absolutely must be united on this. Those match goes who feel they've come out of this okay are deluded. The club are trying to buy your inaction whilst dumping big time on others. Your day will come too because likely as not they will repeat this, one stand at a time.

However, don't forget to enjoy Wembley while you can because all of those extra corporate seats will be expecting priority for cup final tickets in the future. I'm not surprised by this. The cost of Main Stand seats has been increasing at a greater rate for years due to them apparently being "the best seats" - if you ignore the Victorian facilities and restricted views that is. I think the club are hoping that regular season ticket holders will move out so that the entire stand can be turned into corporate seats. Given the TV money, extra seats and no doubt naming rights, the club did not need to do this to existing Main Stand ST holders and the increase is a kick in the teeth for a lot of people who have been turning up for years week in week out. I don't want to move seat so I shall probably cough up the extra but won't bother now with the cup games. If they can sell my seat for a midweek League Cup game against Second Division opposition, good luck to them. I've already given up buying programmes and have no intention of frequenting any new eating facilities. The club shop can also whistle for any future business.
