Everything points to DIC setting a deadline when Gillet came in. If they were confident that their offer was the best for the club it would still be on the table now. I think the board deserves patience to review the Gillett bid. If it turns out that its not as good as DIC then we can all rant like some of the lunatics on here and TLW

Ive had a day to digest things and I think people are going a bit overboard on this one. I wasnt impressed when I first heard that the deal had fallen through but Ive sat back read comments from both parties and thought about things. One of the main issues here is that DIC clearly tried to bully Moores into approving their bid. I used to work in the UAE and the company I worked for were often put in this position by local companies. I learned to accept that its just the way things are down there. At the time we were just a small company and had to accept whatever terms were thrown at us. I cant imagine someone like Moores putting up with such ultimatums,afterall its going to be his legacy. I still dont see why people are so livid as DIC were not bulletproof and we are yet to see what Gillet has to offer. The club deserves fans patience on this one after what has been a really good month on the pitch (in the league ) and in the transfer window

Worst thread ever

I was pissed off for a while tonight but then I realised whats the point in being annoyed at the fact that Arsenals B team is better than ours?? Its the first team that matters and I dont think theres much between the two teams. I trust Rafa and I agree that he deserves to be criticised at times but even if we had of won tonight do you really think he wouldnt of played the same team (or weaker) against a full strength Spurs side with Barca coming up?? Of course he would and its for that reason that I wont criticise him. If we beat Barca, tonight will be a nothing but a distant memory to me

Rafa played Guthrie, Peltier, Gerrard, Warnock, Carragher and Fowler tonight. Thats 6 locally trained players we had in the team. How many did Arsenal have and what use will the foreigners be to them when the new rule comes in next August??? No team has the perfect mix of homegrown and foreign youths. Rafa gave his local boys a chance tonight and I actually think Guthrie did well and the other 2 did OK. Rafa is not a mug and is always looking to the future. Criticise him all you want but he will end up being the one smiling
