Mascherano obviously been taking passing tips from Momo before today. We might as well have played the youth team for all the effort and quality that's going on so far. Gerrard's had a few good runs, and Robbie and Kuyt are trying to make something out of crap service. That's it.

There's quite a large difference between booing him at the match and pointing out, on an internet forum, that he's made a few embarrassing f***-ups. You think if we ignore them and type out a few songs that's going to make a difference? Back in the real world, leaving Momo out of it, nobody looks that interested to me apart from maybe Mascherano. Even Carra's a bit casual. A few people, not only Riise, s***ting out of tackles. Don't see the point of Zenden being on the pitch ahead of Gonzalez, like a few have already pointed out. Arbeloa looking again like a good buy but he's hardly being tested. No service for Crouchie, Pennant seeing a fair bit of the ball but very mixed end product - a couple of good balls but a fair bit of crap too. Get Gonzalez and Kuyt on for Sissoko and Zenden.

I disagree on this occasion. Taking Bellamy off so early in the half didn't make much sense to me. Taking Crouch off as well left us with very few options to change ourselves around attacking-wise. Kuyt being absolute gash since he's come on hasn't helped mind. Don't tell me he was trying to play Gerrard in - he just scuffed his shot badly. Pennant's made no impact either.

And if the team's playing badly we're going to say what? 'Never mind, we played well last week.'

Answered your own question there, unfortunately for Momo. Mascherano is basically the same age but looks a far more accomplished player who understands that you do everything not to give the ball away easily. Funny how jarring it is when Finnan's having an below-par game though - guess that shows how used we are to him just playing well every week.
