Then you asserted that they were better than us just 12 months after we had finished 2nd. I quoted the part I disagreed with.

We finished 7th when Benitez was at war with the owners, virtually that same squad finished 2nd the year before. We finished 4pts behind Spurs in 2010-11 with half a season of Hodgson.

What was the point, that Spurs have been badly mismanaged and yet still outperformed us? I don't see anything wrong with the Bentley and Bent signings, they are ambitions. Lets take just B's Bentley, Bent, Bale, Berbatov Worked out all right in the end for them didn't it.

This is it for me, everyone talking about sugar daddies but Spurs have spent well, invested big money to get into the CL, bought big players when in the CL and now they are poised to be a real challenger for the last CL spot. Where are we in comparison? Well we both have exactly the same points and goals scored but who would your money be on? You've missed the post where he said that Pepe wouldn't have saved the penalty or made the save that Mignolet made in the first half. Which is the post I replied to. I'm not upset at Mignolet coming in, far from it, I'm upset at us loaning Reina to Napoli for no reason other than to get him off the wage bill. People are trying to spin it as Mignolet is a step up from Reina but it's b******s. Reina lifted his skirt to Barca so we got Mignolet, fine, Barca didn't come in so we loaned out Reina, why? No, you are being a t***, all keepers make mistakes, I'm sure Simon dropped some howlers at Sunderland. I don't watch all Sunderland's games so I don't have the same level of knowledge of what he is good at and what he isn't. Comparing a save that one keeper made to another ex keeper and deciding if he would or wouldn't have made the save is t***tish behaviour.

I don't think Pepe would have flapped under his own posts gifting Huth with an open goal from 8 yds. I also think most decent keepers would have saved that chance in the first half and Pepe made better saves than that last season. This is not a post knocking Simon, he did great, it's a post asking you to keep your ridiculous theories about what Reina would or wouldn't have saved to yourself.

They are a top 4 challenging squad group though, and one with a lot of strength in depth. For me they are above Arsenal now. Even with Suarez the top 4 is mammoth task.

Of course this is the key factor but shouting your mouth off about all your targets and losing them to someone else is exactly what Wenger/Arsenal are getting slated for this summer.

You're right about everything about him not being that good. For such a t** he certainly plays well for a club he doesn't want to be at. Anyway if he isn't an option there is no further point discussing this in a transfer thread.
