if we could get an Alves for the RB and one for the LB position we probably wouldnt have to think about wingers we could focus on a link striker

It's interesting as we're linked with Aimar who would also play in that position so who'se better Benny or Aimar ? Could both play in the same team ? - would that be a 4231 formation ? - would that be too narrow ? What ever happens Benny should be up for his trip to the Hammers

so I guess people are wanting Pennant on the Right and Yossi(Benny) behind Torres ? Whilst I agree this looks like a natural position for Benny I'm not sure how good he is at holding the ball up, or playing with his back to goal which would be required in that position

despite what some may think Sammy Lee would not have been ideal. the number 2 we need must be a COACH he must be attack minded with a good record of building successful attacking teams, with GOOD SET PIECES. He must also have enough tactical nous for Rafa to listen to him and not go defensive all the time. If he wasnt already a manager someone like Ramos would be a great number 2. If you look at Rafa its clear he does not have confidence in our attack - the people he trusts are Torres and Gerrard but is forced to persist with others to fix this: 1 - Rafa needs someone to develop the attack side of our game till he has confidence in it 2 - Rafa needs to buy better quality and more consistent players 3 - Right now someone like Aimar in his prime is what we need to pull the attack together

to be honest in the frst half I thought Rafa had sealed his own fate - " there is something rotten in the kingdom of denmark " something aint right with the team I think Rafa needs a number 2 ASAP and if Rafa's going to stay (keep his job) we need to start playing differently

This has been the flaw with our system for a while now (Arsenal's "athletes" dont have this problem), which is why we need wingers and a attackers ( striker and link man) that can 1) keep hold of the ball 2) spot the late runs etc and feed the ball through to them In this regard Aimar could offer to more to our game than Crouch! - Both Babel and Torres know where the net is so Aimar could actually bring out the best in those 2 AND allow Gerrard to attack more Finally, playing Aimar would mean you need a Pennant someone to get Chalk on their books to provide width

could be, the guardian and the liverpool post are linking us with Aimar (28) of Zaragoza - in theory he could be the Dalglish character we need to "enhance " Torres. In theory he could also help Babel develop into a partner for Torres.
