  1. You guys need to focus on the window or the forthcoming match against Lens
  2. @David_Ornstein BREAKING: Liverpool reach agreement in principle on terms of deal to sign Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain. Still details to finalise between #LFC & #PSG but moving fast after breakthrough overnight on package ~£120m, ~£100m fixed @TheAthleticFC
  3. Times At £115m, transfer would make 23-year-old French international the second most expensive signing in Liverpool’s history but raise doubts over Cody Gakpo’s future Liverpool are set for more talks with Paris Saint-Germain as they look to sign winger Bradley Barcola before next Tuesday’s transfer deadline. The France international has been a priority for the Anfield club for much of the summer and lengthy negotiations are continuing in the hope of ending the impasse over the player’s valuation. PSG originally valued Barcola at £145million, but have since lowered their asking price. However, if an agreement is reached, the final fee is still expected to be around £115million. That would make Barcola the second most expensive signing in Liverpool’s history, behind £125million Alexander Isak, given that £16million of Florian Wirtz’s £116million fee is linked to Liverpool winning the Premier League or Champions League. Liverpool players Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz with manager Andoni Iraola during a pre-season friendly. Barcola has two years remaining on his PSG contract but has made it clear he wants to leave having found himself behind Desire Doué and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in the pecking order. As a result, he has been excluded from head coach Luis Enrique’s plans. PSG have also added attackers Ferran Torres, Maghnes Akliouche and Mika Godts to the squad which has won the Champions League in successive seasons, with Enrique having made clear he only wants players who are committed. Barcola, who turns 24 on September 2, prefers to play off the left and cut inside onto his right foot. His profile andprice tag will raise doubts over the future of Cody Gakpo. The Netherlands international forward has been a target for both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City. Liverpool sporting director Richard Hughes has been seeking reinforcements in the wide areas throughout the summer. Winger Víctor Muñoz arrived from Osasuna in a £34.5million deal in June in a move driven by new head coach Andoni Iraola. Victor Munoz of Liverpool runs with the ball during a Premier League match. A replacement for Mohamed Salah on the right is also necessary, but is proving problematic. Liverpool missed out on first choice Yan Diomandé, the RB Leipzig attacker who has moved to Real Madrid for £120million, and have checked on numerous other players. Ibrahim Mbaye, 18, a PSG team-mate of Barcola, has been tracked, while enquiries to Real Madrid for Endrick andCrystal Palace for Ismaïla Sarr received no encouragement. Palace are determined to keep the 28-year-old attacker, so no bid was made for Sarr. Liverpool’s pursuit of Brighton & Hove Albion’s Yankubu Minteh has seen two bids of £50million and £60million rejected by the Premier League

  5. Echo take (Gorst)
  6. While Jones is the only journo parroting that Palace need to buy first, all Francophone media reporting say talks are well advanced between clubs.
  7. Those who are complaining about his age. He's 28 until he's 29.
  8. Was there not a quote when we were an even more cleverest guys in the room phase when we briefed that "well run clubs do not leave their business until the last day"
  9. Would prefer we didn’t wait Make a move straight away Instant Camara
  10. Not sure if this has been posted before but Pearce in Athletic "deal sheet" today:
  11. Florian Plettenberg @Plettigoal 13m Negotiations between Liverpool and Brighton for Yankuba Minteh are still ongoing. Understand the 22 y/o winger is expected to need another 2-3 months to be fully match-fit after his injury. That’s the current prognosis. #LFC still really want him, as the left-footed winger can play from the right and has a profile similar to Mo Salah. @SkySportDE
  12. Rio brings nothing He’s not at this level yet
  13. We’re so brainless Ref is famously a homer Newcastle are praying to break up play and waste time So we overcommit needlessly when ball is gone
  14. The Reds are winless in 18 Premier League away games when falling 1-0 behind (D6 L12) since beating Crystal Palace 2-1 in December 2023.
  15. First non-free form the worst referee at any level ever takes just 18 seconds and goes to the home team and another
  16. Think we’ll be far the better team but Atwell will turn it into one of the free a minute homer games and we’ll draw.
  17. Nothing new in this just the Beeb gossip catching up with yesterday’s Times story
  18. Joyce on Minteh Brighton & Hove Albion have rebuffed a £50million bid from Liverpool for the winger Yankuba Minteh. Liverpool are seeking to bolster their attacking options and ideally want to sign Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain as well as another wide player. It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will now increase their offer for Minteh. The pacey 22-year-old is unable to play for about two months after undergoing surgery on a leg injury sustained in Brighton’s pre-season win against Roma, but is believed to be keen on the move which was first reported by The Athletic. Minteh, a Gambia international, moved to Brighton from Newcastle United for £30million in the summer of 2024 and has nine Premier League goals and eight assists across his two seasons at the club. Brighton’s stance comes with Liverpool and PSG still apart on their respective valuations of Barcola, who would be utilised on the left flank should he end up making the move to Merseyside. The French champions initially placed a £145million price tag on Barcola. Liverpool have already signed Victor Muñoz from Osasuna in a £34.5million deal and he can operate on both flanks. In addition, they have Cody Gakpo, Rio Ngumoha and Federico Chiesa. Minteh would be an option for the right side of head coach Andoni Iraola’s team, with attempts to sign Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig having floundered earlier in the summer. Liverpool offered the Bundesliga side a package worth £85.6million, which was rejected and the player ended up joining Real Madrid for £120million. Liverpool asked about the availability of Endrick, whose chances of featuring regularly at the Bernabeu have been impacted by the arrival of Diomande. However, it is understood Real are not looking to let the Brazilian leave. Meanwhile, the Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones is set to complete a move to Inter Milan in a transfer that could be worth £30million. He has had permission to fly to Italy to undergo a medical after a deal was agreed on Thursday. Inter will pay £26.7million initially and a further £4million in bonuses after Liverpool dropped their £35million asking price which was in place at the start of the summer.
  19. This Endrick lad https://www.espn.com.br/futebol/real-madrid/artigo/_/id/17141971/liverpool-sinaliza-interesse-em-endrick-que-fecha-as-portas-para-saida-do-real-madrid-veja-os-bastidores Back at Real Madrid for the 2026/2027 season, forward Endrick has attracted interest from Liverpool. The information was first published by the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo and confirmed by ESPN. The report revealed that the English club expressed interest in the Brazilian. However, no official offer has been made so far. On the other hand, ESPN has learned that Endrick is not considering leaving the Merengue club.
