Always disheartening to lose the first game of the season, boys. But it's 1 game of 38. We all said this would take time.

Anyone's stream gone off?

Quite true and your positivity is to be honoured, but you can't deny it would be disappointing? With the amount we've all been talking about it on here, perhaps we've done it to ourselves? But it is difficult to nearly have it in the bag and not get excited about it. If he does go though, I wonder if it now means we wage a full on mission to sign Walcott and/or Dempsey? Gone very quiet about those two lately in light of this fiasco. Other people give just as many 'pointless strops' and nothing gets said. Only wrote it as people seem to be asking, is all. Not meaning to offend you! Also, with the pic that I'm referring to is this. We didn't have anything like that is all I was saying. http://www1.skysport...g-could-be-sold

Bit depressing this, yet a huge reality check - woke up today and yesterday to follow the progression of this signing, and ever since Wednesday night I've been more and more disappointed. Last night, I was disheartened by it, yet still hopeful. This morning, I'm just accepting that once again we were in touching distance and will most likely fail again. Even Sky Sports' website have an article on Wenger declaring his interest with Sahin's picture floating about at the top of it, did we have anything like that? Nope. Clearly what's happened is Arsenal declared their interest but were that stuck on trying to retain RVP that all their efforts were placed into that. We declared our interest, his manager and team mate were gunning for us and we were showing the certain signs that we wanted him. Now Arsenal have lost RVP, realised again that Song is more likely the next to leave they've s*** themselves and realised they need a 'replacement', probably music to Sahin's ears. I just wish he could remove the wool from his eyes and realise that he will not be playing there as much as he would here. If it was a permanent deal, fair enough I wouldn't blame him for going there with CL and all as he is that calibre of player, but with the option of going back to Madrid a better player in a year and challenging for your place again, why wouldn't you go to the team who will guarantee a regular first team spot? (Complete with European football I might add). Frustrating to say the least, but again, perhaps a reality check? - Arsenal viewed as a bigger club than us today, and doing what other top clubs do and closing the deal when we are in pole position.

Ha, and probably land us in it with the FA.
-
Aye, was just nice seeing all of the potential line ups we've been talking about the last day or so.
-
To be completely honest, I am now too. Posted that Arsenal link for morale purposes! Usually I wouldn't be, but after the Gylfi incident I don't think I can ever rest assured until it's final - regardless of things people are saying on here.

http://arsenal-mania.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=170732&start=1080 Lovely read seeing them all either gutted or s***ting themselves that he's probably coming to us. Saying that though, nothing's official yet of course. Surely we can't be stung by another late hijack attempt?

Cracking memory that, well done you!
-
Yeah I thought that too, even so I don't see there being any reason to worry.

Better to go in with high spirits than low ones. We've genuine reason to believe now. My only concern is that we haven't really addressed all our attacking problems yet - i.e. Natural goalscorer, Suarez could make a greater contribution than last term given that he plays in more of a poaching role and on the basis he doesn't get a lengthy ban again, hoping Borini will grab double figures too but you never know. I'm sure we'll progress this year though.

It's also great having all these new, talented, proven players come in - but as you said, potentially losing those three, how long will it take a new squad to mould and become cohesive on the field? Risky business.
-
Haha, cheers! But it's difficult when every question you ask get's baited.
-
No, just lonely

I'm Bane, and I'm Gotham's reckoning, L.O.L.

You're probably correct, it's just difficult to gauge sarcasm on here sometimes Lots of love, Matty
-
Haha Hassony, don't waste your time by doing such things. (Not being funny to you by saying that either). I've just been pointed in the direction of a couple of accounts that I check for on google, yeah. Amateurish, yes but oh well. I'm here to learn! Lol
-
With Tello is BR looking for a wide player on a particular flank? Not sure which footed he is. Or do you think he may be looking for them to come in and play more centrally?
-
Jesus lol, doesn't mean I don't check other people's. No room for error on here is there? Haha

Hoping City realise that they've actually signed a very good CB and an average DMC in Rodwell, and not the other way around. Rodwell used to play CB for the U21's and hardly ever put a foot wrong from what I saw. Each time I check in on reliable people's twitter accounts or renew my news page about the Agger situation I get a sense of fear and dread! *Sorry, the point being to take their attention away from Agger!

Suppose it would be things such as what the club can offer him in terms of housing, comfort etc. He's moving countries for work after all.
-
I understand now.

I know what you're saying mate, it's just to me a lot of what he does looks half-hearted is all. Mainly his movement, but his attempted Alonso-esque passes in which he tries to play extravagant, inch-perfect balls up field from deep positions winds me up. He did it so many times last season when more often than not they didn't have the result he intended and we lost a lot of play/possession from them. It's just my opinion is all, not trying to start an argument or anything.
-
Haha, not quite. I'm not on Twitter! I'm just longing for your approval my good man

I am quite quick to jump the gun with him I admit, and perhaps on here isn't the best place for that. I just have no time for people who pick and choose when to give 100%, his effort levels often leave a lot to be desired. Spearing isn't the most gifted player to ever lace up a pair of boots, yet he does try more often than not, an age-old argument yes, but if there's nothing better and you give it your all I tip my sharp, judgemental hat to you, sir. That's all's I'm saying really, I'm just a bit harsh.
