Any reason why this couldn't go straight to the stadium?? Seems to make sense to me, as the income from the stadium would give us the increased revenue that Arsenal and Utd couldn't get having gone through a capacity growth already. This would lessen the fact that we'd have already spent the TV cash.

 

This would then allow us to take our time looking for an investor, a much smaller investor or even stay as we are.

I'm not sure how much we usually get but I guess we spend it on the same thing every year, e.g. player wages or signing players etc. I've no idea how much of an increase this is on the last 3 years but if it's not too significant then I doubt there will be much left over for the stadium. (if that makes sense)

The fact that we already receive much of this income and it's catered for? The fact that the extra money won't come in until 2007-2010? And it's probably worth about 10m a year than we get now so isn't that big a deal?

It does seem to be a 70% increase from previous, so maybe an extra 15m per annum.

On the stadium I am sick of this...its so fu*king easy - naming right (let be conservative) 50m,

Sell 1,000 corporate 10 year seats @ 20k a throw 20m, 14,000 extra seats brings in 15m per annum, grants 25m. That is it paid for in in 4 years. If we started when we were supposed to we would have it paid for by now.

Fully understand the timing arguent, but the extra cash is big, as big as the pay-off for moving stadiums, the only qualifying bit being that it's the same for all, so bring on the 150-200k per week player.
