cymrococh Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/south_east/4783606.stm Soccer star Craig Bellamy has been arrested in connection with an alleged assault on a young woman in a Cardiff city centre nightclub. The Wales and Blackburn Rovers striker, 26, was released on bail after being questioned about an incident at the Number 10 club in February. He is due to report back to police after further inquiries. His agent said the Cardiff-born player had attended a police station voluntarily on Monday. A South Wales police spokesman said: "We are investigating the alleged assault of a 19-year-old woman. "A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released on police bail pending further inquiries." The alleged victim complained of suffering bruising to her arm and neck. His agent Steve Horner said: "Craig Bellamy voluntarily attended a police station yesterday regarding an incident a few weeks ago. "He has been released without charge whilst police carry out further inquiries." Blackburn Rovers declined to comment, saying it was not a club issue. Bellamy was born in the Rumney area of Cardiff and returns regularly to visit his parents and other family members.

Guest TanMan Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 Used to hate Bellamy, mainly due to his demeanour but he'd be a hit at Liverpool, no doubt.
fyds Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 He has an alleged history of this kind of female abuse, doesn't he?
