Liverpool to bid for Birmingham star, Jermaine Pennant who joined the blues from arsenal in the summer, is supposedly the subject of a bid from liverpool.

 

Liverpool who are currently flying high in 3rd place of the premiership are set to snatch up birminghams summer signing of jermaine pennant, as reports suggest :- Liverpool are ready to make a move for Birmingham City winger Jermaine Pennant, according to reports. With Rafa Benitez stepping up the search for a right winger in the new year, Pennant could be an alternative to Benfica wideman Simao Sabrosa. It is understood that Simao won't be sold in the new year and Benitez could favour a move for the England U21 international. Jermaine who is highly rated by the fans and club alike, is likely to favor a move to the champions as his birmingham career has exactly started with a bang! also reports suggest that Colin Doyle recently recalled by birmingham could be returnung to the new den in the new year :- New Millwall Director of Football Colin Lee is hopeful that goalkeeper Colin Doyle can return to the New Den for another loan stay in the New Year. Doyle played four Coca-Cola Championship games for the Lions before being recalled by Birmingham City before Christmas. But with Birmingham first-choice Nico Vaesen available once more after a ban, and Maik Taylor more than adequate cover, Doyle will be out on a limb once more. Lee, who moved upstairs from team manager to a director role on December 21st, said: ?We should be able to get Colin on two seven-day ?emergency? loan deals to take us through to January. ?We will try to secure a deal so he can stay for the rest of the season. Colin has done fantastically in his four games for us. ?Birmingham rate him highly, and at some stage he will have to decide whether he wants to be part of a Premiership club - but he is not at that juncture yet.?

Just a minute, how can we sign Pennant, if he only joined Brum in the summer, yet we can't sign Owen as he only joined the barcodes at the same time.

 

Is it something to do with him being there on loan beforehand? If so, that seems pretty fecked up to me.

I think players can only move once per calander year, not from when they signed. This transfer issue is still very vague.
