BT have increased my connection speed

Got disconnected this afternoon for about 30 mins and when it came back on they'd upped it to 2mb. Yet nothing's changed ( if anything it seems slower )

 

Do i have to reconfigure the modem or something ? Their helpline isn't exactly what it claims to be.
