Will the new owners back an "interim manager" with big money in January.....

I know Comolli has a major role in identifying targets etc, but surely these all will have to be authorised / sanctioned by the manager.

I just worry slightly about this.

If, as we are lead to believe, NESV aim to appoint an "young, vibrant, up and coming manager" in the Summer, Deschamps, Vila Boas, or whoever......

... will they be willing to release the funds necessary for this transfer window to a manager who may well be gone in May, (even if Kenny is just gone back "upstairs" into his ambassadorial role).

Ideal scenario is that Kenny is an unqualified success as manager, and lands the job fulltime.

I just hope the owners realise the current situation regarding the strength of the squad, and get their fingers out.

There are three weeks left in this transfer window.

As bad a season as it has been to date, if the players unite behind Kenny, and the likes of Cole, Torres etc start to play like we know they can, then add two or three quality players, and top four is not beyond us.

We need, at the very least, a left back, two footed creative pacy wide man, who could play either flank, and a proven goalscorer.

And these need to be top top players, i.e. fifteen million pound bracket, not twenty nine / thirty year old hasbeens, or twenty year olds with potential.

We all wait with interest, but given their handling of the manager situation, I am hopeful that NESV will deliver on the player front too.

We'll have had a great window if we can get one really good player. Theres a reason every manager and club hate it, its obviously not easy to work in so I think anyone expecting a load of signings is going to be massively disappointed.

I think one of the points in Comolli and operating that way is that recruitment is not dependent on the manager/coach to a great extent, and if he feels a player is right for the club we'll get him.

In terms of what's going on, probably also the case that Comolli has chatted to Kenny a fair amount about players, as he mentioned involving him.

Not so sure of that mate, I think a lot of clubs might have a lower threshold for selling players this year, with the economic climate etc, if reasonable money is offered.

Comolli indicated this a few weeks ago in an interview, and referred particularly to the French market.

Even if we could land the likes of Hazard, what a massive statement that would send out.

I know he is young, but he seems the real deal.

He said one player, you mentioned one player....so you agree. I think it's got to be quality over numbers, we already have enough numbers, many of which play little or nothing. For me one top drawer addition would be great, two would be utopia! I do think FSG need to show some intent though.
