Driving holiday in Scotland advice

Looking at taking the car up to the West Coast/Argyll and probably limit ourselves to no further North than the Caledonian Forest. Will be going for 2 weeks and looking for a few places to use as a little base to travel out from. Don't mind a bit of driving every day but will have an 18 month old with us so cant be done with huge drives every day.

 

Where can i not afford to miss?
