I need to move my current cable broadband from it's location. The room it comes into is no longer suitable. It can't have a wireless connector it just can't be used full stop.

So, I have to either, speak to Virgin and ask them to move my connection and then go wireless to the room where the PC is (I reckon they will charge me best part of £200 for this).

or bin the Virgin Broadband and phone , switch to BT and then get a phone socket put in the room with the PC (currently got a cable on the landing) and get a different provider of broadband. I currently pay £37 for XL broadband plus £11 for a phone and £7.95 for calls. There is a £21 discount though cos I'm on a bundle (TV,Phone, PC). So I would need to get a phone line and half decent broadband and get it connected for about £35 a week to break even and I need them to put an extra socket in the room with the PC.

Any thoughts or suggestions. I've considered phoning up and threatening to leave but I need a proper plan to do that. Any ideas greatly appreciated.
