Crackin' Kim Philby story

Heard this the other day on the News Quiz. No idea if it's true, but it made me laugh.

 

During his time working at MI6, Philby used to send his stuff out via the post room to a safe house in France. Years later, he decided to finally visit this safe house, as he'd always wondered where the secret documents went.

Turns out, the "safe house" was the Russian Embassy in Paris
