The Super 14

Watched the first 2 games of the Super 14 this morning and the new ELV's have really transformed the game. By the end of the 80 minutes of the Crusaders/Brumbies game the players were absoloutely wiped out because the ball was in play so much more.

 

Much fewer lineouts, about the same number of scrums and a lot more running, with the physicality of old still present.

 

It's early days, but I'd say from those two games, they've been a success so far.
