Why does the internet bring out the absolute worst in people?

It's only been quite recently that I've started using 6the internet to help pass the time of day due to circumstances meaning that I have a lot of time on my hands and I've got to say that it really depresses the f*** out of me. The amount of people that seemingly enjoy giving other people unbelievably filthy abuse just blows my mind. I'm not easily shocked, but f*** me, some of the stuff you read on messageboards is just evil.

Hillsborough, Heysel, Munich, Bradford, all used as weapons to hit people with in discussions about what is only a f****** game!!Why? I just don't understand it at all.This really is the only place I post on due to if someone disagrees then it's not long before "96 is not enough", unemployment statistics or Jamie Bulger enter the argument.

I can remember as a skinny 16 year old going to the gym in Kenny (I think it was called Gym21?). Absolutely huge guys there, all looking as mean as f***, and yet every single one of them would stop what they were doing to help explain how a machoine worked or how to do the excercises properly. I remember starting out my martial arts training being patiently walked through the moves by people that could snap me in half but they took the time to show a new guy moves they'd long perfected 5 years earlier - the idea being that as I got more experienced then I would take time out of my own training to help the new guy's - and I did. I went on a poker web site and apparently did something wrong (even though I won!) and was theatrened that this guy going to get my head ripped off!

What's the point of the post? I've no idea - except that I'm at a stage of my life whereby I'm looking backj at my life and realising what's important and just to say really, this is probably the best LFC site on the web, there's some funny stuff and a lot of good, informative debates on here. Please don't let it go down the road of TTWAR or ROATL with all the insults just because someone disagrees with what you're saying.
