Guest Yozza Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Looking far, far ahead into the not so distant future at what may be a crucial game, we play manu on the 15 Dec. This game follows the final game of the group stage of the Champions League. We are away to Marseille and SHOULD have it wrapped up by then, whereas manu are away to Roma and may need a result to secure qualification (hoping).Could these (possible) factors give us an edge coming into that game…or should I just be looking at the fixtures and thinking about the Pompey game instead?
R A Softlad Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Possibly. We want to avoid having to do too much in the last two group games. Let's hope Roma show up this season.
Guest FinnMacCool Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 whereas manu are away to Roma and may need a result to secure qualification (hoping). That's rubbish hoping. I'm hoping the Mancs' Roma game is only for pride because they've already got knocked out by then.
Guest Yozza Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 One game at a time Yeah I know, but just thought it could be interesting...
Hassony Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 lets hope we win the league with 2-3 games to go so we can rest players for the fa cup final and the champion league final
