Some very powerful, moving speeches being made about Freedom and Democracy. Also, admiring acknowledgement of the fruitful accomplishments of civil protest through the ages. Both peaceful and armed methods of resistance are referenced of course and a huge crowd of voters applauds at the appropriate pauses.

 

Nothing to do with the anti-war demonstrators being evicted from the square t'other day, but to unveil a statue of Nelson Mandela.
