London Ink

I am a big fan of the ol' body art and when the Discovery Channel brought out Miami Ink, the fly-on-the-wall documentary of a tattoo studio Stateside, I was in TV heaven. The makers, encouraged by the massive worldwide success of the programme, have now brought it across the pond to start making London Ink which is about to start filming shortly. As with the American version who used some of the country's leading artists (Ami James, Chris Garver et al), the London version will have one of England's foremost artists, Mr Louis Molloy, as the focus. Probably best known for being the man who tattoos Beckham (which should say everything about the quality of his work as anyone who's seen Beckham's will tell you), LM is an English tattoo legend and should make for an interesting programme to say the least.

 

Can't wait for it, especially as I managed to blag an appointment with the man himself for Christmas time (earliest I could get in ) as I've wanted to have some work done by him for ages. Would be even better if I could blag my way on to the programme although not holding my breath - the waiting lottery list is massive.

 

Anyone else into them at all?
