anyone had an op

i tore my ankle ligament again this week playing footy.

 

its the 5th time ive done the same ankle in about 6 years now.

 

its particularly gutting this time as im playing very well for my team and have 7 goals from midfield in 10 games.

 

last time the doc recommended an op but as im 30 i didnt think there was much point and its not like im playing at any decent standard really.

 

just wondering has anyone had the op? its the lateral ankle ligament. did it make much difference and how long were you out of action for?
