Time and time again, Peter Crouch gets called for fouls by referees. It happened on a number of occassions tonight and does so often when he plays.

The way I see it, Crouch is a clean player who goes up to win the ball. Obviously, he's a little gangly and with his phenomenal height, players who are marking are usually at his elbow or shoulder level. Consequently his markers often do get hit, but its all part of Peter Crouch going up to win the fkin ball. For fecks sake, what is he supposed to do, jump straight up without using his shoulders and arms to gain elevation?

Its absolutely ridiculous ,I find, and it happens off corners, off goal kicks and indeed and long balls we try to play up.

Furthermore, off attacking set pieces, it often looks like HE is the one being fouled - yet this never gets called. Its a big limitation when we play Peter because we lose posession too often (this is a reflection on the rest of this season, more than just this one game). Seems like theres nothing much that can be done about this ... we just have to hope the friggin Refs' perception of Crouchy.

Opponents play for fouls when the're up against Crouch - few of them have any chance of beating him in the air, assuming he times his jump right (which he manages to get wrong surprisingly often unfortunately).

They always play for the foul and unfortunately the ref, nearly always, falls for it.
